"Just when I think I have learned the way to live, life changes"
-Hugh Prather

Amy's most recent collection of paintings explores a different perspective on the flower. The forms are drawn from the rhythmic pattern created by flower petals. Additional details are drawn from plant cells viewed in microscope slides and the rings that form inside of a tree.

Trees and flowers remain a prominent influence with a transition into forms that are further abstracted. The paintings were inspired by a series of line etchings found in this body of work.
